Messenger Bag Tutorial
It’s a little early for Christmas gifts, but I like to be done before the beginning of December so that I can ship off the gifts that need to go to other parts of the country without having to wait in really long lines at the post office, and it’s so nice to just be able to relax and enjoy the holidays!
I really like sewing new bags for my sister, nieces and daughters every Christmas, and I think they really like receiving them. (I heard that my oldest niece loves to tell her friends when they ask about her bags that they’re one of a kind!) Handmade bags for the girls have sort of become my annual tradition. This year, I’ve been sewing messenger bags for everyone and thought I’d share my pattern with you. I hope that you’ll enjoy creating with it for yourself and your loved ones.
The tutorial is for the laptop-size messenger bag, but there are suggestions at the end for how to alter the size to your own specifications.

My daughter asked me to make her a bag recently and after trying to pin down what kind of bag, it seems she had in mind some kind of messenger bag. I had a quick look for a pattern, but had sort of forgotten about it until now. I’m so happy to find this to make up for her. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this wonderful tutorial! I ventured out to make the bag thinking that only someone as good as you could ever complete such an amazing project, but I successfully finished it! And it is adorable! Thank you for making an easy simple and well written tutorial! I love how you use fleece instead of interfacing to thicken up the bag, it lowered the cost a lot

ugh ii have alotta HOMEWORK,, butt ii left my book bag at school by accident !
Aww love these. I made a couple–one that my sister uses as a diaper bag–way cute. I got a more professional looking messenger bag for work from solo.net–but on the weekends and holidays, its all cool and cute with my denim and tshirt bag with rhinestones!
